project update

Good to get into the workshop for a few days, exhaust all done except i will probably weld on a supertrapp end cap.
Bike is running and all wiring completed, wanted a full system on this one including indicators!
Painted the side panels today and the mudguards will be done tomorrow.

This one is taking longer due to work commitments but hope to have all done for Christmas.

My last Dominator custom........probably!

Recently picked up a 93' NX650 with a very low mileage engine out of a later bike which was a non runner so a bit of a gamble.
Got it up and running eventually and sure enough motor sounds sweet!
I have built many of these bikes now but have never managed to hang on to one so this is gonna be mine!

My first rear mudguard/fender (about time!!!)

Mock up stage is now complete with my frankenstein exhaust and other bits and pieces i had in my shed...

Front wheel will be changed to a 17" .

Next project planned.

Nearly ten years ago I built my first custom bike using the NX650 Dominator as a base .
Since then many stock original bikes have been sacrificed in the process.
I think I have used around 12 or maybe more for this pursuit of a great riding and looking machine.
I'm not a 100%  sure on this but I think I was the first to use the dominator for these projects, a great many have also been used/slaughtered in the process by many many people seemingly all over the world.
So it is my intention to get hold of an original 1988 NX650 and completely restore it back to good as new and completely stock as it left the factory condition.
I'm very much looking forward to this next project as for me personally it will make a great change from stripping and cutting up yet another one of these fantastic bikes.

Almost there!!!

Been a while but here are some pics of my latest project cr250.
Not much left to do now.... wiring to make road legal, brakes etc, etc.
Really enjoyed this build, can't wait to take down the road!

2 stroke tracker update

Getting exciting now, so nice to be working on something different, got the new single radiator mounted from a ktm 250 , exhaust is also now fitted.
Front expansion came from a 1985 Suzuki RG250 gamma, with a universal silencer to finish.
Next job is to properly fix the 1975 cr250 side panels, once that's done I can do some testing and if all is well I'll pull everything apart including the motor and renew all bearings and seals etc order some nice new wheels and then the fun begins with the paint.... can't wait!!
