More to come!

Currently in the process of designing 3 brand new bikes, one will be using the ever faithful nx650 Dominator base, second being a hybrid of actual 1970`s motocross elegance and modern engineering convenience and lastly a factory Honda Paris Dakar race replica.

Can't wait to get going!!!

  4. Hi Andrew, love the blog. It's pretty much the reason I picked up a '98 NX650 over here in Sydney to start work on. It's the first time I've started messing around with a build, so excuse the amateur question. My bike has an old 70s XR tank on it at the moment - previous owner widened it with a jaws of life machine to fit the tank. Could you talk me through how you secure the cg125 tanks please? I've found one without the mounting brackets and can grind off the mounts on the frame, but I couldn't find anywhere on your blog how you secured it. Any advice would be awesome. Cheers, Mike

    1. Hi, first remove the original front mounts, then hammer the right hand side of the tap to allow the tank to sit lower, I use the the original rear tank mount and connect to a relocated bracket on the frame, the front is secured with 2 10mm nuts welded to the underside left and right of the tank. Then use a 15mm metal strap to connect underneath.
Hope this helps, good luck with the build.
On my next build I may fully document the entire process start to finish.

  6. Hi Andrew, well done!! I love your bikes! I have an Honda Nx650 '91 sitting in the garage since years, I'm dreaming starting a project very soon... I might go easy, not huge changes... but something I definitely need to change are the front forks, what are you using? Any suggestions in models and brand? If it's ok for you can you write a simple list of must do works on the bike to get a decent result? I don't even think I might achieve a beautiful works as yours! Thanks for the advise.

    1. Hi, there is a semi detailed build guide on the blog archives.
I usually use the original front end.

  7. Hi, I've jest read your elsinore build. It looks absolutely stunning! Im currently building a Honda SLR650 scrambler and I just wondered if you could tell me the the size of the jets you used as it looks to be a very similar set up i'm using with regards to filter and exhaust.

    Cheers
